Amid calamity, adversity, and change, we want to be a source of HOPE for ALL in our City, and so this will form the basis of our future focus. As such, we intend to have funds available to work with and support community organisations in the following specific areas of need. To achieve this outcome, we are asking for £5,000 for each of the following 4 key areas:
In the area of Homelessness to focus on:
Homeless shelters & accommodation services
Benefit and advice services
Well being, support & Information services
In the area of Crime & Safety to focus on:
Domestic Violence
Youth justice
Knife crime
Community & Personal safety
In the area of Poverty & Disadvantage to focus on:
Food Provision & child poverty
Debt & financial advice
Employment, education & training
In the area of Mental Health to focus on:
Counselling & Loneliness
Mental health illness (including depression, anxiety & OCD)
Bereavement counselling
Hospital & Health services
This would be a total ask of £20,000 to benefit those in need and crisis in our local community over the forthcoming year so that we share the Gospel of Hope through our actions, thereby letting Milton Keynes know that we are for them and God is for them.
...Let us not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions. - 1 John 3:18
