2008Every year we go off to summer camp with a bunch of kids between the ages of 8 – 11. It’s a fantastic time for all who go, both kids and leaders alike. It’s a chance for children to be independent, to meet new friends and also a time where they can really grow in God.
Dedicated leaders come with us who invest a week of their time into the lives of children. We take children with us both from the church and the community.
Where
do we go?
Brambletyde School, this is a large country house in its own wooded estate
of 140 acres, 500 feet above sea level and overlooking Ashdown Forest &
Weir Wood Reservoir. It is a great location for a children's camp. The facilities
are excellent, including a fully developed Gym with facilities for a full
range of sports including tennis courts. The grounds also have a fully heated
swimming pool and a great sports hall. Children sleep in rooms or dorms normally
used by the students during their academic year. All this along with its idyllic
location situated in acres upon acres of green Sussex countryside makes it
the ideal location. Find out more by visiting the school
website.
There will be approximately 100 children on site from various parts of the country giving a great opportunity to meet new friends. We will ensure that our group has a ratio on one leader to every eight children.
So if you have children between the ages of 8 and 11, why not book them in to what is certainly going to be an amazing week!
Is it a Christian Camp?
This is the most often asked question regarding camp and it is important
that all parents know that the answer is yes.
This means that the morning and evening sessions will have bible stories and songs that talk about God and Jesus. The content of the morning and evening will be similar to our Kidz Church on Sunday morning and Frantic Friday activities. If your children have never been to one of these events then they are well worth trying as a taster.
